End your visit to Southern California with a tour of the historic Long Beach Airport. LGB is California’s oldest municipal airport, founded in 1923 by early aviation pioneer Earl S. Daugherty. Today, the airport serves 2.6 million passengers annually, and is home to extremely diverse operations for a hub of its size. If you’ve never experienced Long Beach Airport before, you will be delightfully surprised by both its historic legacy and modern conveniences. In addition to the over 70 year old historic terminal building, the new passenger concourse is sleek and contemporary, offering amenities that rival many larger airports.
Your LGB tour will include views of our expansive airfield including our main 10,000 foot runway, glimpses of the variety of aviation businesses housed on airport property, and a behind-the-scenes look at our award-winning passenger concourse. The tour will begin with a reception and visit to the world-class Fixed Base Operator, AirFlite, recently voted #1 in the 2015 AIN Survey of Corporate Pilots for the second year in a row.
Roundtrip transportation will be provided from Downtown Long Beach area hotels to the airport. The tour will last approximately 3 hours, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 11:00 a.m. If you’re departing out of LGB for your return flight home, please feel free to bring your luggage.
